Who we are:

Brian Roth, MS.F

Brian Roth is the company founder and has over 20 years of forest management experience working for various government agencies, Universities and private forest industries in Canada, Scandinavia and the United States.  During the recent decade he has served as Program Manager for the Forest Biology Research Cooperative at the University of Florida, where he oversaw the establishment and research activities on several multi-disciplinary forest productivity and varietal experiments throughout the southeast region of the United States.  Brian completed his Ph.D at the University of Florida specializing in Forest Production Ecology.  He holds a MS degree in Forest Science from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon and a BS degree in Forest Management from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  He has co-authored over 20 refereed publications, book chapters, and proprietary reports on a wide range of subjects including genotype by environment interactions, nutrition, remote sensing, density management, wood quality and plantation establishment.

Brian believes that there is a strong need for scientific solutions towards the maintenance and improvement of managed forest plantations globally.  To this end he founded Roth Forestry Research in 2007 with the vision that forest landowners will be able to confidently use this information to enhance the productivity and sustainability of their forest plantation investments.
